How to plant Nata Packaging

How to plant Nata Packaging

When we say “Zero Waste” we mean it! Not only are our products 100% Certified Home Compostable, Biodegradable and some even (Hot) Water Soluble, but they are also PLANTABLE! Perfect for this Spring season, our labels are made out of recycled paper that is embedded by wildflower seeds. Imagine wildflower fields instead of landfills. We truly made this product with zero waste in mind - meant to throw, made to grow.

Wildflowers are the backbone of biodiversity, creating food and habitat to our hard-working pollinators, insects and other small animals. And with the dwindling population of pollinators the past years, they need the safety wildflowers are able to offer, that YOU are able to give when you plant the labels.

Don’t have a green thumb? Don’t worry the Wildflower Seed Mix is a blend of Catchfly, Sweet Alyssum, Snapdragon, Bird’s Eye, Black Eyed Susan, and Clarkia, giving you the most vibrant and sturdy variety of blooms all year-round.

Let’s get planting! All you need are the following:

  • A chosen vessel - nursery pot, repurposed glass jar, a plastic cup, your choice!
  • Nata labels - cut into smaller pieces
  • Soil, Water, Sun - the basics
  • Grab your chosen vessel, we like to repurpose with whatever available pot or container we have at home. The best makeshift nursery pots are empty, plastic bottle with the upper half portion cut out to create a wider spout and poke some drainage holes at the bottom.
  • Fill the pot halfway with your (organic) soil.
  • Add in the shredded Nata labels, top up with soil. Don’t over fill/crowd the pot, leave at least an inch of space at the top.
  • Water thoroughly.
  • Display by your windowsill for some sun.
  • Top up with your compost for some extra nutrition.
  • Water as needed but do not overwater - this is where the drainage holes come in handy.
  • Wait patiently and watch your plant bloom.

Happy planting! 🌱
